PROMISE seeks to provide a platform for researchers , decision makers and experts to make use of the comprehensive data of most of the studies and research available on population and development issues , including reproductive health / family planning. The Higher Population Council believes in the importance of relying on scientific evidence when proposing / adopting policies and/or making decisions, and in the development of population programs. PROMISE intends to keep researchers, program managers , decision makers and research organizations aware of and familiar with all that is new in the field locally.
To facilitate the use of the site, the user can browse through the abbreviated summaries of studies and research, categorized according to three key areas: The Policies, Programs, Services. In addition, the site provides a list of research priorities in these areas, with options to download the full research when available.
