To utilize findings and recommendations of the research and studies in the development of policies, programs and services related to population issues and in order to improve the population indicators that aim at achieving global goals of development, "PROMISE" provides a list of priority research topics at the national level in the areas of population. "PROMISE" includes reproductive health and family planning issues which have been previously identified based on its scientific merit, on the findings & recommendations of previous studies and upon which group consensus was developed based on scientific methods among the concerned stakeholders who represent the vast majority of the government, NGOs, private and international organizations involved with these issues, in order to direct resources and financial allocations towards priority research themes.
